Discover the fascinating world of wild food and fungi on an autumn foraging experience in the Forest of Dean with expert guides. Led by fungi specialists Eric, Kerry or Marlow, this immersive experience is the perfect introduction to mushroom foraging and identifying seasonal edible plants in one of the UK’s richest natural landscapes.
Your day begins at 9.30am at Tudor Farmhouse Hotel with tea, coffee and an introductory talk on safe and sustainable foraging before setting out at 10am for a guided walk directly from the hotel. During autumn, the woodlands surrounding the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean offer excellent opportunities to discover a variety of wild mushrooms and fungi species in their natural habitat.
After the forage, return to Tudor Farmhouse Hotel at 1pm to enjoy a seasonal three-course lunch.
