Bedrooms with a story to tell

No two bedrooms at Tudor Farmhouse are quite the same. Set across our collection of historic farm buildings, each has its own character, shaped by centuries-old stone walls, exposed beams and the quirks that come with a building of this age.

Inside, you’ll find seriously comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, thoughtful details and plenty of space to settle in. Some have roll-top baths, others monsoon showers, and a few have their own private outdoor space.

These are rooms made for more than simply sleeping. Somewhere to slow down, switch off and make yourself at home in the Forest of Dean.

The Nest Suite - very pleasant stay We made a late(ish) booking for a suite - only The Nest was available - but we weren’t disappointed. The suite was upstairs in the outbuilding by the car park - so easy to unload the luggage - and the view out was pretty decent overlooking the hillside. The suite was clean and well fitted - a separate bedroom and sitting area; but the bedroom was difficult to cool as it only had a small Velux window - which seemed to have just a trickle vent - maybe we needed to be heavier handed to open it? The breakfast was cooked fully to order and was plentiful. The evening meal was to a very good standard - but a limited (same) menu which sufficed as we only had 2 nights. Easy to access - plentiful secure on-site parking - overall easy to recommend.

Wonderful stay A wonderful visit to the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel. We only visited for one night but wished it was more. If you are looking for something special but in a relaxed environment, beautiful rooms with everything included. Friendly, helpful staff then this is it, a real treat. The food, delicious breakfast and the on site restaurant is a must. Walks and other interesting things to do in the area, a lovely relaxing outdoor and indoor space at the hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a luxury feel, high end products in the bathroom.

Beautiful place with high end dining in the Wye Valley This is such a delightful place to stay and so pleased we found it. The room had such a comfy large bed and the decor was gorgeous. The outside area was perfect too. The main area of the inn had a large but secluded courtyard and the inside was perfect too and we enjoyed a fabulous dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel and fabulous food We received a warm welcome and the Hen room we booked was well proportioned and very well appointed, with a comfortable bed. The only issue we had was where our room was situated in a block right behind another pub, and we were disturbed by quite a lot of noise coming from the pub garden. It was a hot night but we had to keep our velux window closed until after 11pm to keep the noise out. If we stayed again we would be more mindful and avoid that block of rooms. The food was really excellent for both evening meal and breakfast. We stayed on a dinner bed and breakfast basis, but as we only wanted a main course in the evening at £35 each this turned out not to be good value for money. I had thought the £50 pp dinner allowance would cover whatever we ordered up to that value, but on checking out found that all drinks were excluded from this including coffee. I think this should be made clearer when booking. That being said it was an enjoyable stay and we would stay again.

Possbly the best hotel I've ever stayed in! This is one of the most delightful places I have ever been to! Beautiful location, gorgeous rooms and very thoughtful and helpful staff. I'm vegan and they even thought to put oat milk and some dairy free cake in our room! The chef also made us a special dinner, which was delicious.

Stunning location This was our fifth visit to Tudor Farmhouse and as always it was very good. It is in a stunning location marred only this time by the brown grass everywhere, not something under anyone's control obviously. The courtyard garden is stunning and the bank is normally so pretty. We stayed in The Nest this time which had a lovely big window overlooking the bank at the back of the property. The room and bathroom were beautifully cleaned and tea, coffee etc replaced each day. There is also fresh milk which is such a change from the usual UHT pods you sometimes get in hotels. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is very good and beautifully presented. Our server on the first night's dinner was Charlotte who was super friendly and efficient. It was also nice to have 2 zero alcohol cocktails on the drinks list, great for a late afternoon/early evening sit in the stunning garden. Attention to detail as always is excellent.

We return because we like it Our third visit which should be review enough. Pleasant room, comfortable bed. Not too hot despite the weather and there were shady places to sit outside. Good food, pleasant staff and quiet.
