Foraging Dates for 2016

We’re delighted to confirm Raoul’s group foraging dates for 2016. Dubbed by The Guardian as “the Carluccio of the Wye Valley” our in-house forager Raoul van Den Broucke supplies the hotel with produce collected nearby and runs foraging expeditions that take guests off the beaten track. The crop depends on season and ranges from a wide variety of edible mushrooms, wild garlic and sorrel, bitter cress, pennywort, wimberries, sea beat, marsh samphire, edible flowers and wild strawberries. Group Foraging – Courses will run on the following days (Saturday unless otherwise specified): 2nd, 9th, 16th, 30th April 2016 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th October 2016 5th November 2016 Costs: £30 foraging only, £50 with lunch Courses start at 9.30 – guests should arrive at 9am. They will be back for lunch by 1pm. Payment should be made in advance when the booking is made. Individual Foraging – Can be booked subject to availability with Raoul. The cost is: £125 for up to 4 people (i.e. 1 person is still £125), £25 for each additional person Overnight Packages:Group Foraging, lunch, dinner and our best available room: £300 per couple. Private Foraging for two, lunch, dinner and our best available room: £365 per couple.
