Our biking break is designed for all riders whether you bring your prize mountain bike to hit some serious trails, or are a family looking to hire something a little more steady for an amble along the river bank.
The Wye Valley and Forest of Dean has over 35 square miles of Forestry Commission land to explore plus over 50 miles of way-marked paths and of course some fabulous roads (featured in the 2016 Tour of Britain) with winding climbs for those who prefer tarmac to all-terrain.
This two-night Biking Break includes dinner, bed & breakfast, a packed ‘power’ lunch and a waterproof cycling map. Post ride, we can organise an in-room massage for those aches and pains. Guest’s bikes will be well looked after too – in our dedicated cycle lock-up.
Want to focus on the scenery, rather than a map? Then book an expert guided tour from nearby Pedalbikeaway. They’ll tailor a mountain-bike ride to suit your ability and preferences and can ride out with you, directly from the hotel. They also hire bikes from their off-road cycling centre.
Two-night package, including dinner both nights, a waterproof cycling map and a packed lunch, costs (based on two sharing):
Hatchling Room – £490
Hen Room – £550
Cockerel – £590
Suites – £630
Optional extras include:
- bike hire from £19 per day
- in-room massage from £50 – £75 per person
- a guided tour with local expert £80 half day, £132 full day
(Optional extras will need to booked in advance when booking the package.)
